Salman Khan lauds Rajinikanth's Darbar motion poster: Rajni garu in full motion

Rajinikanth is back to entertain audience, and this time with a commercial potboiler Darbar. After the mega success of Petta, Thalaivaa is returning to the big screen in a stylish cop avatar. And who better to release the Hindi motion poster of Darbar than our very own Chulbul Pandey aka Salman Khan.

Salman Khan, who himself is gearing up for the release of Dabangg 3, took to social media to post the Hindi motion poster of Rajinikanth's much-anticipated film Darbar.

Sharing the motion poster, the 53-year-old actor wrote, "Best wishes to not just a superstar.. The only superstar! The 40-second motion poster gives glimpses of Rajiinkanth in khakee, and in the last shot, he can be seen sitting on a chair, and his swag is un-missable.

Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film also stars Suneil Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas and Yogi Babu in prominent roles.

If reports are to be believed, Rajinikanth will play two roles in the commerical entertainer - one of a cop, and another of a social activist.

The motion poster was also released in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Kamal Haasan revealed the Tamil motion poster, Mahesh Babu unveiled the Telugu poster and Mohanlal posted the Malayalam motion poster of Darbar.

In a recent interview with Ananda Vikatan, filmmaker AR Murugadoss spoke about how Darbar materialised.

"I got a call from Rajini sir when Ghajini released. I met him and he congratulated me. But, we didn't talk about doing a film then. Two years later, we met again. This time, he said let's do a film. But, the opportunity got delayed due to unknown reasons. During Sarkar's shooting, I was once again invited to meet him. This time, I was sure that I shouldn't miss out on the opportunity. I narrated the one-liner of the film. I made the changes he suggested in a day and met him the next day. He gave the green signal after a month," said Murugadoss.

Darbar is set to hit the screens on Pongal 2020 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
