Rashmi Rocket: Bhavesh Joshi Superhero actor Priyanshu Painyuli to play Taapsee Pannu's husband
Priyanshu Painyuli, who was seen sharing screen space with Harshvardhan Kapoor in Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, will be playing Taapsee Pannu's husband in sports drama Rashmi Rocket.
For her upcoming film Rashmi Rocket, Taapsee Pannu has found her husband in Bhavesh Joshi Superhero actor Priyanshu Painyuli. The actor will be playing the role of an Army officer in the sports drama.
In a statement, Priyanshu Painyuli revealed that he is looking forward to working in the film, to be directed by Akarsh Khurana. He said, "This is looking like a great year already and hopefully the start of a great decade too. In Rashmi Rocket, I will be playing the role of an Army officer. It's a matter of great pride for me."
He added, "Since I come from the defence background, playing a man in uniform is both an honour and responsibility. It's extremely exciting especially after my last film Upstarts (Netflix series), whose universe is so far removed from the world this film is set in."
Taapsee Pannu plays the lead role of an athlete in Rashmi Rocket. The film is the story of a fictional Gujarati girl named Rashmi, who is a fast runner. People of her village call her "Rocket". Taapsee's character in the film hails from Kutch in Gujarat.
The first motion poster of Rashmi Rocket was released in August, last year.
Apart from Taapsee Pannu and Priyanshu Painyuli, there were reports that Aparshakti Khurana also stars in Rashmi Rocket. However, the actor clarified that while the talks are still on, he hasn't signed the film yet.
Rashmi Rocket will kickstart next month and will be shot across Delhi, Kutch, Dehradun, and Mussoorie.
