Prabhas welcomes Kriti Sanon as Sita, Sunny Singh as Lakshman in Adipurush
The makers of Adipurush today officially welcomed Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh to the team of Adipurush. Prabhas also took to Instagram to welcome the actors to the team.
Prabhas today welcomed Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh to the team of his upcoming film Adipurush. The actor shared a two photos of himself with the actors. Kriti will be seen playing the role of Sita, while Sunny will be seen as Lakshman in the mythological drama which is inspired by Ramayan. Prabhas will be seen in the lead role of Lord Ram in the film directed by Om Raut. Saif Ali Khan is playing the role of Ravana.
WHAT DID PRABHAS POST?
Prabhas took to social media to officially welcome Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh to Adipurush team. He shared two pictures of himself with the actors. In the first photo, Kriti and Sunny are seen posing with Prabhas, while in the second one director Om Raut can also be seen with the actors.
Sharing the photos, Prabhas wrote, "Welcoming @kritisanon and @mesunnysingh to the #Adipurush family (sic)."
KRITI SANON SHARES HER EXCITEMENT ON INSTAGRAM
Kriti Sanon is excited to be a part of Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan's Adipurush. The actress also took to social media to share the photos and wrote that she is proud to be joining the Adipurush family. She wrote, "A new journey begins.. #ADIPURUSH This one is too special.. Proud, honoured and beyond excited to be a part of this magical world.. (sic)."
WHAT DID OM RAUT SAY ABOUT CASTING KRITI SANON
After helming Ajay Devgn's Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Om Raut is directing Adipurush. Talking about the cast, Om Raut said in a statement, "When I was casting for the female lead, I needed an actress who not only has an amazing screen presence but more importantly, is also a great performer. Kriti was our obvious choice for the film. Sunny is a great actor and we’re sure he will impress viewers with his performance."
ABOUT ADIPURUSH
Adipurush is an adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayan that revolves around the triumph of good over evil. Prabhas will be seen in the role of Lord Ram, while Kriti Sanon will be playing Sita. Saif Ali Khan will again play a negative character after Tanhaji as he will be seen as Ravana. Sunny Singh is Lakshman in the film. Adipurush, which is high on VFX, will be made on a mammoth budget of Rs 400 crore. It will release on August 11, 2022, in multiple languages.
