Gulabo Sitabo: Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana announce trailer launch in a fun video call
Amitabh Bachchan, Ayushmann Khurrana and Shoojit Sircar announced the trailer launch of their upcoming film Gulabo Sitabo in a fun video call. The trailer will be out today (May 22).
Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Gulabo Sitabo's trailer will be out today (May 22). Announcing the trailer launch of their upcoming film, Big B and the Article 15 actor engaged in a fun banter during a video call with director Shoojit Sircar.
The video begins with Sircar and Big B greeting each other and trying to connect with Ayushmann over a video call. When the Vicky Donor actor’s phone shows busy, Big B playfully passes a remark and says, “Yeh generation ka yahi problem hai. Phone pe lage rehte hain. Bola tha usko time pe aane ke lie, conference call karna hai.”
After a few moments, Ayushmann finally joins the conversation and says a big hello to his co-star and director.
Shoojit Sircar then says that they have to plan how to launch the trailer of their upcoming film, Gulabo Sitabo. The director and Big B gear up to start with the trailer launch announcement when Ayushmann interrupts the two and says he’ll be back in a minute. The actor then comes back wearing a brown jacket and says, “Hair, make-up kuch kiya nahi toh, stylist bhi nahi hai, sab khud karna par raha hai.”
Finally, Big B starts announcing the trailer launch in English, when Ayushmann interrupts the legendary actor again by saying, “Sir Lucknow mein shoot hui hai film, log connect kar payenge English mein?”
The actor then announces in Hindi to which Ayushmann says “Sorry to interrupt sir, deviyon aur sajjano sunkar totally KBC jaisi feeling aa rahi hai.”
The fun banter then goes on for a while until the director says, “Trailer hi launch karna hai, koi bhi karde.”
After few moments, both Big B and Ayushmann finally announce the trailer launch of the film by saying that the trailer will be out today (May 22) on Amazon Prime Video and its YouTube channel.
Big B shared the video on Instagram late Thursday night and captioned it as, “Trailer. Kaun kitna ziddi hai yeh aap kal hi dekhiyega!Trailer out tomorrow. Catch #GiboSiboOnPrime on June 12 for its World Premiere.@ayushmannk @shoojitsircar @ronnie.lahiri #SheelKumar @juhic3 @filmsrisingsun @kinoworksllp (sic).”
Sharing the same video, Ayushmann wrote, "Gulabo Sitabo - Trailer Announcement. Kaun kitna shaatir hai yeh aap kal hi dekhiyega! Trailer out tomorrow. Catch #GiboSiboOnPrime on June 12 for its World Premiere (sic)."
On May 19, the film's teaser was unveiled that featured two puppets.The film's title is borrowed from the famous puppet duo named Gulabo-Sitabo popular in Uttar Pradesh.
Gulabo Sitabo is the first major Bollywood film to head for an OTT release as theatres remain shut due to the novel coronavirus crisis. The film, directed by Shoojit Sircar, will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on June 12.
