Neena Gupta pens her autobiography in lockdown: Sach Kahun toh likh dali
Neena Gupta took to Instagram to announce that she has written her autobiography. The book will release in 4-5 months.
Neena Gupta utilised her time in lockdown by writing her autobiography. The actress, who was stuck in Mukteshwar with her husband Vivek Mehra for five months, took to social media to announce that she has written the book Sach Kahun Toh, which is being published by Penguin Random House India.
Sharing a video of herself ,where she is seen talking about the film, she wrote, "Sach Kahun toh likh dali (sic)."
In the video, Neena says, "So likh di maine, apni kitaab apne baare main. Bahut baar sochti thi likhu na likhu. Sab kehte the likho likho. Main sochti thi kya karna hai. Meri life main maine aisa koi Fanney Khan kaam toh nahi kiya. Pata ni log padhenge nahi padhenge. Ye karte karte saalon ho gaye. Toh abhi Mukteshwar main, virus ke time jab wahaan baithi thi main 5 mahine toh maine likh di. Ab pata ni log padhenge nahi padhenge, kaisi lagegi. Par maine likh di. Penguin isko publish kar rahe hai. Process hoti hai unki, toh 4-5 mahine lagenge aap tak pahuchne main. Jab pahochegi toh padh lena. Kitaab hai, bore hoge toh chhod dena. Par maine likh di. Iska naam hai - Sach Kahu Toh (So I wrote it, my own book about me. I often thought if I should write it or not. People used to ask me to write one, but I always thought I have not done any extraordinary work. I didn't know if people will read it or not. Many years passed doing this. Then when I was in Mukteshwar due to the coronavirus for five months, I wrote it. I don't know whether people will read it or not. I don't know if they'll like it. But I wrote it. Penguin Random House India is publishing it and it will take 4-5 months to reach you. When it comes, please read. It's a book, if you get bored, leave it. It's called Sach Kahun Toh)."
Neena Gupta was in Mukteshwar, Uttarakhand, when nationwide lockdown was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus. Since the film production was also stalled, the actress decided to spend some quality time with her husband in the hills.
She treated her fans with many videos from the hill town during her stay in Mukteshwar.
Recently, Neena shared an adorable throwback picture with her daughter, Masaba. She poked fun at herself and captioned it, "Ye matlab kya hairstyle hai hey bhagwan (Oh god, what is this hairstyle?)."
On the work front, Neena Gupta was last seen on Masaba Masaba alongside Masaba Gupta. The web series marks the acting debut of the celebrity designer. Neena played the role of Masaba Gupta's mother in the series, based on the life of the designer.
