The South East Central Railway in Odisha on Wednesday ran a 2-km long goods train -- Super Anaconda -- by clubbing three freight trains as one unit that successfully ran between Brajrajnagar to Rourkela railway stations.

This is the first time South East Central Railway has amalgamated three freight trains as one unit.

The Super Anaconda, which is a three-in-one freight, reportedly has 174 wagons and an electric multiple loco-engine with a 9,000 HP capacity.

Chief PRO of South East Central Railway, Saket Ranjan, told India Today that the initiative was made to reduce manpower, save time, ease congestion on tracks, make transportation of goods reasonable, fast delivery of goods and an overall saving of revenue.
