Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday challenged the opposition BJP, in an interview to its party mouthpiece Saamana, to bring his government.

"Bullet train is not the need today. If at all it is required in Maharashtra, then it should be a bullet train connecting Mumbai and Nagpur. So that the feeling of alienation that is being purposely created in the mind of Vidarbha will cease," the Maharashtra CM said.

On allegations of bureaucracy running his government, Uddhav Thackeray said, "The government has the rights to take decisions but the implementation has to be done by bureaucracy. You should have the guts to get the work done."

On his alliance government of Maha Vikas Aghadi, the CM added saying, "If I have to choose between bullet train and autorickshaw, I will chose autorickshaw as it is a transportation of the poor and the common man. All the three wheels software this ricksha are running in one direction. Why are some people having a stomach ache? How many wheels does the central government have? The last time when I was in Delhi for an NDA meeting, I saw there were 35-40 wheels. I have a good communication with Pawar saheb and I keep speaking to Soniaji."

Taking a dig at the BJP over the Rajasthan political crisis, Uddhav Thackeray said, "They call our government in Maharashtra as against democracy and they use money to bring down other governments. This is BJPs definition of democracy. If someone is against you, you make the agencies run behind them for investigations. But all days are not the same. This too shall pass."
