Dharamshala: After the convincing four-wicket win over New Zealand on Sunday in Dharamshala, the Indian team had a lot of fun in the dressing room. The players were seen having fun with each other when the unique ‘best fielder’ award was being presented in the dressing-room. It was presented in an unique fashion where it was awarded via spidey cam. The medal for the best fielder went to Shreyas Iyer, who was brilliant in the field in Dharamshala. Here is the behind the scenes shared by the Indian board that shows the fun the team had after the win.

Team India have defeated New Zealand after 20 years in an ICC tournament at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala, on October 22. Virat Kohli played 95 runs knock and helped his side record 5th straight win in ICC ODI World Cup 2023.

New Zealand batting first put 273 runs on the scoreboard. Daryl Mitchell’s century and Rachin Ravindra’s Fifty put the Kiwis in a good position before Shami’s fifer restricted them way under 300. Rohit and Gill once again provided their team with a great start. However, a mini-collapse in the middle was bothersome but Virat Kohli kept on holding one end and India eventually secured a big win.

“Good start to the tournament. Job is half done. Important to stay balanced. Not to think too far ahead. Important to stay in the present. Shami took the oppurtunity with both hands. He has the experience in these conditions and is a class bowler. At one stage, we were looking at 300 plus,” Rohit said after the win.
