Centurion Weather Forecast, Ind vs SA 1st Test: As unfortunate as it may sound, the first day of the much-anticipated Boxing Day Test between India and South Africa at Centurion is likely to be washed out. The chances of rain is high. In fact, there are chances of thunderstorms. The chances of precipitation is at 75 per cent, while the humidity would be around 69 per cent. Everyone wants a game tomorrow, but currently, going by the forecast – that looks difficult.

This was the Test match all fans were looking forward to as the big Indian stars like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah return to international cricket after taking a break following the ODI World Cup.

The two-match Test series will be a part of the World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle. As of now, India is at the top of the WTC table, with a win and a draw, giving them a total of 66.67 points percentage.

The last time India travelled to South Africa they fell to a 2-1 series defeat during the last WTC cycle.

Meanwhile, after the T20I series ended in a 1-1 draw, India beat the hosts 2-1 in the ODI format. A couple of days back, Kohli had returned to India to attend to a family emergency and that sparked various speculations.

This year in seven Tests, the former India captain has scored 557 runs at an average of 55.70, with two centuries and a fifty. His best score is 186.

Virat has an excellent record against the red ball in South Africa, with the 35-year-old having scored two of his 29 Test centuries against the Proteas away from home.
