Salman Khan is finally going to kick-start shooting for Dabangg 3. The third instalment of the celebrated cop drama by the actor is set to go on floors in April this year. The producer of the film, Arbaaz Khan himself confirmed the news while talking to a leading daily. He also mentioned that he will soon give all the necessary details about the film’s storyline in the media. Dabangg 3, that gave Salman one of his best-known characters – Chulbul Pandey, will be directed by Prabhudeva.

Arbaaz talked to Mumbai Mirror and revealed, “Yes, Dabangg 3 will go on the floors in April, however, we are still contemplating the locations. At this point, all that I can say that the film features Salman Khan in lead and will be directed by Parbhudeva”.

Speculations have been rife in the Bollywood’s grapevine that Dabangg 3 is based on a real-life story. The reports have been suggesting that Salman will be seen playing the role of a Noida police officer in the film. However, Arbaaz has decided not to reveal more. In the same interview, the actor-producer said that he is aware of all the rumours being surfaced around Dabangg 3 but right now, he doesn’t want to reveal anything about the film’s story. He said, “I have been reading a lot about Dabangg 3 on the social media – some saw it is a remake, some say it is inspired by the real-life incident, some say it is set in Noida. At present, I would like to maintain some secrecy around it”.

Salman is currently busy with the shooting of Bharat at Mumbai’s film city. The film also features Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover, Nora Fatehi, Disha Patani and Jackie Shroff in important roles. Based on Korean film Ode to My Father, Bharat is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. It is the big Eid release this year, hitting the screens on June 5.
