Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has wrapped up the shooting of Article 15, directed by Anubhav Sinha. The actor took to Twitter to make two posts about the film’s wrap and posted a few pictures of a mini-model of his character in the film. Article 15 features Ayushmann in the role of a cop with the film’s story talking about what the article stands for in Indian constitution – prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth.

Ayushmann called Article 15 the most ‘relevant and important film’ in Indian cinema. Announcing the news on Twitter, he first wrote, “Wrapped up a film which will become the most relevant and important film of Indian cinema. Thank you @anubhavsinha sir for giving me this gem and also writing the most real cop role ever. #Article15” (sic)

His next post read, “Thanks to the entire cast and crew, esp #RonjiniChakraborty and @Ashishsverma for this wonderful 3D mini model of mine. Love. It’s a wrap! #Article15” (sic)

Article 15 boasts of a stunning ensemble star-cast with Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead. The other actors in the film are Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, M Nasser, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Subrajyoti Bharat, Ronjini Chakraborty and Zeeshan Ayub.

The film, produced by Benaras Media Works, went on the floors on March 1 in Lucknow. Earlier, narrating an incident from the sets of the film, Ayushmann praised his co-stars and revealed that their hardwork and passion towards acting motivate him to do better on-screen. The actor and his team shot in a swamp for a scene without realising that it was filled with leeches. However, everyone continued to shoot for the scene ignoring the pain and only came out of the swamp when the shot was given a nod by the director.
