Andhadhun: Ayushmann Khurrana’s Film Crosses Rs 150 Crore in China, Actor Shares Heartfelt Post

Andhadhun starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Radhika Apte has been highly appreciated by the Indian audience. The film also released in China and in just a week’s time, the film has already crossed the Rs 150 crore mark.

Film and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter to share the news and wrote, “#AndhaDhun crosses ₹ 150 cr in #China… Starts Week 2 on an enthusiastic note… Will comfortably swim past $ 25 mn in Weekend 2… [Week 2] Fri $ 2.01 mn. Total: $ 21.76 mn [₹ 150.51 cr].”.

Ayushmann Khurrana was very delighted to see such a response and said in a press statement, “It’s overwhelming and heart-warming to see the love and acclaim that AndhaDhun has been getting in China. As an artist, it is incredible to see my film cross over and get such fantastic reaction. I have always believed that films speak a universal language and it cuts across geographies and Sriram Raghavan’s vision, AndhaDhun, just proved it in a massive way in China. I’m thrilled to receive so much love from the Chinese audiences”.

On the occasion, Ayushmann even took to his Instagram to share a picture of himself along with a heartfelt post that read, “This was the last day of shoot in Poland. Check out the date in the poster. The year is 2020. We thought we were making a very interesting gem. Never thought it’ll become such a mammoth of a success, esp in China. Thank you Sriram Raghavan sir. #Andhadhun crosses 150 crores in China”.

Andhadhun is helmed by Sriram Raghavan, who earlier directed Badlapur and Johnny Gaddaar. He will next be seen in Dream Girl, which also stars Nushrat Bharucha.
