Abducted Son of Former JD(U) Leader Found Dead, Bihar Police Arrests 4

Rahul Kumar, a Class 7 student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, was the son of late Surendra Patel. He was reported abducted late on Wednesday.

Patna: A 14-year-old-boy, who is the son of a former Janata Dal (United) leader, and was abducted for a Rs 50 lakh ransom, was found murdered on Thursday in Bihar’s Siwan district, police said.

Rahul Kumar, a Class 7 student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, was the son of late Surendra Patel. He was reported abducted late on Wednesday.

Siwan Superintendent of Police Navin Chandra Jha said Kumar’s body had been found and four people had been arrested.

According to IANS, Jha said, “The abductors killed him fearing arrest after a search and rescue operation was launched.”

The victim’s cousin Rajeev Ranjan informed the police that he had received a call from the abductors demanding a ransom of Rs 50 lakh. Jha
