Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas, Sara Ali Khan, Vicky Kaushal Pledge to Donate For Coronavirus War

The deadly pandemic coronavirus has gripped the nation and the worst affected people are immigrants, who have left their village in a hope to earn money in big cities but with the lockdown, the wage workers are affected badly. Many celebrities came forward to do their bit and donate lumpsum money for the people in need. After Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli and Kartik Aaryan, actors Priyanka Chopra, Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal have pledged to contribute.

While Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have pledged to donate to ‘organisations that are helping low income and homeless families, helping doctors and first responders, feeding children, supporting music and entertainment industry’, Sara Ali Khan has pledged to donate to PM CARES Fund and Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (Maharashtra).

On the other hand, Vicky Kaushal has pledged to donate Rs 1 crore to PM-CARES Fund and Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Earlier, actors such as Anushka Sharma,Hrithik Roshan, Bhumi Pednekar, Akshay Kumar, Varn Dhawan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Guru Randhawa, T-series owner Bhushan Kumar, Baahubali actor Prabhas contributed towards the cause. Even Telugu actors Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu also donated for the cause. Tollywood stsr Allu Arjun announced the donation of Rs 1.25 crore for the welfare of the people in states of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Telngana.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced 21-days of complete lockdown till April 14 in order to combat pandemic COVID-19. So far, India has recorded over 1,250 cases and 32 people have died due to coronavirus, as of March 30.
