Araria Constituency, Bihar Lok Sabha Election 2024: Araria is one of the 40 Lok Sabha Constituencies in Bihar and renowned for its significant influence in state politics. The constituency was the stronghold of the Congress after independence but Janata Dal and then BJP mark their presence and won from here. Araria includes six Vidhan Sabha constituencies – Narpatganj, Jokihat, Sikti, Raniganj (Reserved), Forbesganj, and Araria.

In the 2019 general elections, the Araria constituency saw a victory for Pradeep Kumar Singh. He was BJP’s candidate and amassed a whopping 618,434 votes, outpacing his closest competition, Sarfaraz Alam from RJD. Sarfaraz managed to secure 481,193 votes, falling short by a substantial margin of 137,241 votes, which ultimately led to his defeat.
