On Wednesday, John Abrahram took to Twitter and unveiled the first look of his upcoming spy thriller Romeo Akbar Walter. Based on true events, John plays the role of a spy in the Robbie Grewal-directed film.
The poster shows John in a retro look, a cigarette dangling from his lips, sporting a checkered shirt with a sweater. The background features the actor in various other looks that he will be seen in the film.

The film also stars Jackie Shroff, Mouni Roy, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi and Sikandar Kher. It is collaboratively produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, KYTA Productions and VA Film Company.
Initially, Romeo Akbar Walter was supposed to star Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead, but citing other commitments, the actor backed out in 2017. It was later announced that John will take over the role, who later made an official announcement on his Twitter. The film is John’s second collaboration with producer Ajay Kapoor following the critical and commercial success of Kapoor’s first production Paramanu: The Story of Pokhran.
Shot across several locations like Gujarat, Nepal and Kashmir, Romeo Akbar Walter is slated to release on 12 April.
