After Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan returned to the silver screen with Jawan, which released yesterday at the box office. The massy-actioner took a historic opening and raked in Rs 65.50 crore on its first day.

Jawan is expected to continue its momentum in the coming weeks as no big films are releasing in the next few weeks. Directed by Atlee, the also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sunil Grover, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Ridhi Dogra, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureishi, Eijaz Khan, among others. It also has cameos of Sanjay Dutt and Deepika Padukone.
