Arshad Warsi, one of the most talented actors, is known for his notable performance in films like Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai. The actor, besides his professional life, also won hearts for his down-to-earth demeanour and personal life which is as mesmerising as his film career. Arshad Warsi has been married to actress Maria Goretti since 1999. The couple will be entering 25 years of their marital bliss on February 14 this year. To enter their silver jubilee, the couple stepped in to present each other with the sweetest gift possible.

Notably, Arshad Warsi and Maria Goretii, despite being married for such a long time, did not get their marriage registered. To make their 25th wedding anniversary special, the couple registered their marriage in court on January 23. During a candid interaction with The Times Of India, Arshad opened up about the same and said he and his wife never really thought about it. However, the Munna Bhai MBBS actor that he and Maria have now realized the importance of marriage registration. He said, “We did it for the sake of the law. Otherwise, I feel as partners, if you are committed to each other, then that’s all that matters.”

The actor further shared that the decision to get married on Valentine’s Day was never intentional as he noted, “I hate to share my wedding date with anyone because it sounds so cheesy. Both Maria and I are embarrassed about this! It was never intentional, though.”

He even shared his scariest memory of Valentine’s Day saying, “Maria’s parents wanted us to get married soon adding that “the one date that looked feasible to us back then was Feb 14, so we went ahead with it. Now I have the scariest memory of Valentine’s Day that I got married.”

Emphasising the current day relationship scenario, Arshad Warsi commented that couples, these days, don’t make enough effort to make their relationship work and have become much more impatient. He strongly believes that being practical does not work when it comes to the matter of hearts.
