Spilling the beans on his relationship with Sara, Kartik told Times of India in an interview, “Sara is a star and a person with a heart of gold. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her. She has a certain positive energy that she brings to the screen and I would love to work with her again and again.” Apart from reportedly losing his heart to Sara, the actor is also a national heartthrob with girls across the country drooling over him. Speaking about the growing female attention Kartik added, “I am still the same guy I used to be, but I won’t deny that I am really happy with all the attention I have been getting. I am in a good space, and I am enjoying it. It has opened up the brand world for me. Opening up about working with Imtiaz Ali, Kartik said, “Working with Imtiaz sir changed me as an actor and also as a person. He is one of my most favourite directors and thanks to him my approach towards acting is different today. It has given me a different perspective. The way I look at a character now, it’s more real. I feel more connected with myself and what I want. I have more or less done romcoms before, but this is something I have never done before, and I got the opportunity to showcase my range as an actor in this film.” Kartik has also been roped in by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for Dostana 2 alongside Janhvi Kapoor. “I am also thrilled to be in 'Dostana 2', and it is all the more special as it is my first association with Dharma Productions. I am a huge fan of the first one, so I am excited to be a part of the sequel,” added Kartik.
