What are Bollywood films without those whistle-worthy dialogues, right? Dialogue delivery is what makes the audience take special notice of an actor/actress. As a part of our #BLBestOf6, we conducted a poll to choose the best dialogues for the first half of the year and we have the winner. I am not a rebel without a cause – Shahid Kapoor, Kabir Singh (42%)

Kabir Singh is one of the biggest hits of 2019 so far, thanks to Shahid Kapoor’s phenomenal performance as the lovestruck Kabir Singh. Many have deemed Kabir Singh as Shahid’s career best performance and we couldn’t agree more. The movie had its fair share of controversies but despite all the negative talk, Shahid has won several hearts as an angry young rebel with a cause! With 42 per cent of votes, Shahid won the title for best dialogue of the first of 2019. How’s the Josh? – Vicky Kaushal, Uri (40%)

Vicky Kaushal’s How’s the Josh? still has its loyal fans and with 40 per cent of votes, the dialogue becomes the second-best of the year. Vicky has taken the nation by a storm with this epic dialogue from the film. Vicky did not think it would become so popular, but the way he has delivered it, we still get the goosebumps every time we hear him say it on screen. Dhoptungi – Alia Bhatt, Gully Boy (12%)

Alia Bhatt owns every character she plays and that’s what she did with Safeena Firdausi. We couldn’t have thought of any other actress to portray Safeena other than Alia. With 12 per cent votes, Alia grabs the third position in the best dialogue category for the first half of 2019.

Park here now, princess – Ananya Panday, SOTY 2 (6%)

Ananya Panday joined the rebellious youth camp recently with Student of the Year 2. But the actress is a newbie and hence has a long way to go in Bollywood. Looks like people are yet to catch the spark in this young actor in making. With just 6 per cent of votes, this dialogue stood last in the poll.
