Quentin Tarantino is in no mood to cut Once Upon a Time in Hollywood for China

International filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has reportedly refused to make any cuts to his critically acclaimed hit Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, a day after the film’s release in China was put on hold. Tarantino has ruled to make any amendments to the movie to appease Chinese film authorities. This has resulted in the film's release in the country in limbo. On October 18, it was reported that China’s National Film Administration, after hearing an appeal by Bruce Lee's daughter, abruptly cancelled the release of Tarantino’s film.

The film was scheduled to release in China on October 25 after it received a go-ahead from the Chinese censor board. Meanwhile, Bruce Lee's Shannon Lee has been quite a vocal critic of how the film has depicted her father. Back in July Lee argued how the film presented him as an "arrogant a**hole who was full of hot air".

According to source of Variety, the movie has now been "temporarily put on hold" after the Hollywood veteran Bruce Lee's daughter registered the complaint against it, with China’s National Film Administration. The source further added, "As long as Quentin can make some cuts, it will be released as planned."
