The much spoken about elections in the actor's union of Tamil cinema Nadigar Sangam will take place today in Chennai and actors from across the industry are expected to vote for their choice. However, one of the most important actors in Tamil cinema Rajinikanth will not be able to vote and the reason is quite shocking.

Rajinikanth took to his Twitter page and revealed that he received his postal vote late while shooting for Darbar in Mumbai and hence wouldn't be able to vote in the Nadigar Sangam elections. Rajinikanth also said that he is shocked at this development and said shouldn't have happened. "I am currently shooting in Mumbai.

I received my postal vote for the Nadigar Sangam elections only at 6:45pm this evening, despite the efforts I took to receive it earlier. I regret that I was unable to cast my vote because of this delay. It is strange and unfortunate. This should not have happened ...[sic]," wrote Rajinikanth in his note.
