It features Ajay, who is sitting on a suitcase, which is locked and has a government seal on it surrounded by a lot of papers, cash money, jewelry, gold biscuits and sacks full of probably money again. “Heroes don’t always come in uniform,” reads the tagline of the film. This poster makes the outline of the plot of Raid very clear to the viewer.
If you are still not able to figure out, Raid is said to be based on real-life events involving one of the most high-profile income tax raids the country has ever known. The film is set in Uttar Pradesh during 1980s, which is why you see that Nawabi architecture of Lucknow in the background. Ajay’s character name is Amay Patnaik, who is the Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Lucknow. Check out the poster of Raid right here:
