Is sequel to Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju on the cards? Director Rajkumar Hirani answers

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju is currently enjoying a record-breaking run at the box office. The biographical drama which showcased the colourful life of controversial star Sanjay Dutt including his drug-phase and 1993 bomb-blast case. The film has successfully managed to impress the audience which can be seen through its mind-boggling collections. In fact, actor Sanjay Dutt liked the film so much that he was in tears after watching the film and hugged director Rajkumar Hirani.

Apparently, post that, Sanjay Dutt asked director Rajkumar Hirani that he still has many shades in his life, which has not been told and want to share it with fans. So, he requested him to make a sequel to Sanju. However, the filmmaker informed Ranbir and Sanjay that this is not possible. In an interview with ABP, Rajkumar said, “A person can have only one biopic.” Talking about Sanju’s business, the film has crossed Rs 200 crore mark in just 7 days and is now heading towards the milestone of Rs 300 crore mark.
