Actor Amitabh Bachchan fell ill on Tuesday on the sets of the movie Thugs of Hindostan, for which he is currently shooting in Jodhpur. The 75-year-old actor announced his illness through his blog at 5 am. "I am getting my team of doctors in tomorrow (Tuesday) morning to fiddle around with my body and set me up again .. I will rest and keep informed in process..", he wrote. Interestingly, a few minutes before posting the blog, the actor, who is regular on Twitter, tweeted: "...and just back from work...!

After Bachchans personal manager informed the Leelavati Hospital in Mumbai about his illness, a team of doctors reached Jodhpur on a chartered flight. With Jodhpur airport lacking parking space, the aircraft was sent to Udaipur and is presently stationed there.
Renowned gastroenterologist Jayant Barv is treating Bachchan. As per the Twitter timeline and Bachchans blog, the actor returned from shooting in the early hours of Tuesday before retiring to bed. Sources at Ajit Bhawan Palace, where the actor is staying, said it seems like fatigue. "Big B has been returning late from shooting. Doctors have said that he is stable and has been asked to drink plenty of water and juices," a hospital staff told DH.
