Batsman Mayank Agarwal and all-rounder Vijay Shankar are likely to join the Indian team in Australia as replacements for suspended Hardik Pandya and batsman KL Rahul. India are currently in Australia to play a three-match ODI series which started in Sydney on Saturday. India lost the first match by 34 runs.
Mayank Agarwal made his Test debut for India in Australia and went on to score 195 runs in the two matches he played Down Under at an average of 65.00. His 76 in the first innings of the Boxing Day Test was the highest score by an Indian opener on debut overseas. The 27-year-old had replaced Prithvi Shaw in the side, who was ruled out of the series after an ankle injury.
