Months ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday convened the National Executive Council meeting at Ramlila ground in New Delhi. The convention which is the "biggest ever" gathering attended by over 12,000 party members, is expected to rejuvenate the party cadres ahead of the elections.

Chants of "Abki baar phir Modi sarkar" reverberated through the grounds as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with BJP president Amit Shah and party veterans LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi lit the ceremonial lamp throwing the convention open.
